Episode 111 – Slime Time

The small room is nearly filled now that the original slime has divided into two creatures. Their gelatinous forms drip from the ceiling, creating a terrifying horrorscape for our heroes.

Fyn thinks quickly and casts Haste to nullify the Slow condition caused by the jellies. Unfortunately, the second jelly exudes the same, mustard-laced aura, requiring additional saves. Things are slowly going from bad to worse.

Normal weapons are mildly effective against the monsters, but Krask continues to fire from the relative safety of the hallway. Trace and Fobias press the attack, stabbing upwards at the jellies.

Their actions only seem to enrage the jellies further, and the original slime splits into a third part. Although this splits the hit points, the damage reduction remains the same. At this point, the jellies completely cover the room.

The slimes reach down to grapple our heroes. Wrapped in their embrace, Fobias and Fyn struggle to break free. That’s when the dominoes begin to fall.

Fobias goes unconscious.

Fyn steps through the dimensions with Fobias to get him close to Trace. Understanding the brevity of the situation, Trace slays one of the jellies and heals Fobias.

Every action is important. The party battles for their lives and eventually vanquishes the final two jellies. Battered, slimy, and bruised, the party licks their wounds.

Free to explore, the rest of this wing appears to be destroyed. They head back to the ethillion pool, where Fobias scoops some up for safekeeping. Krask dips a magical dagger into the substance, where it shimmers before losing its magical abilities. Curious.

From here, the party advances to the second wing: the Iron Cages of Lust.

When they arrive, a cathedral dominated by a massive red curtain greets them. At the same time, four winged women float down and being insinuating innuendo. Iron cages line the walls and the women’s conversation makes Krask and Fyn incredibly uncomfortable.

How will the party react to these unsolicited advances? What is the true purpose of ethillion? Will the party be able to keep this rated PG?
